1. What is PAN Card?
PAN Card is a Government ID issued by the Income-tax department, PAN or Permanent Account Number, which is a 10-digit alphanumeric unique number. PAN is also required by banks, financial institutions, and many other places for KYC purposes. now you can get a Free PAN card through Aadhar.
2. What is Aadhaar based Instant PAN?
Aadhaar-based instant PAN card allotment service is to allot PAN card in real-time. You are required to Fill a valid Aadhaar number issued by Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and is not linked with any PAN. After verify through the OTP process of e KYC data in Income-tax database , you get a PAN.
After that, You can download your PAN by submitting the Aadhaar number at Check Status of PAN. You will also get the PAN in PDF format by your email, If your email-id is registered with Aadhaar.
3. Step by Step Procedures to apply PAN Card ?
Step1. Go to the e-filing website of the Income-tax Department. (Url: www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in)
Step-2. Click the link- ‘Instant PAN through Aadhaar’.
Step-3. Click the link- ‘Get New PAN’.
Step-4 Fill in your Aadhaar in the space provided, enter captcha and confirm.
Step-5 The applicant will receive an OTP on the registered Aadhaar mobile number; submit this OTP in the text box on the webpage. After submission, an acknowledgment number will be generated. Please keep this acknowledgment number for future reference.
Step-6 now for download of PAN Card click on ‘Check Status of PAN’. Submit the Aadhaar number in the space provided, then submit the OTP sent to the Aadhaar registered mobile number.
Step-7 Check the status of an application- whether PAN is allotted or not. If PAN is allotted, click on the download link to get a copy of the e-PAN pdf.
